"MODERNIZATION OF SULINA PORT, PERIMETER I

FREE ZONE - PHASE II",

SMIS Code - 318663

Design and execution of works within the project - COMPLEX DELTA SRL

The project consists in the rehabilitation of the port infrastructure in Perimeter I – Free Zone, administered by R.A. Sulina Free Zone Administration.

At present, the port infrastructure targeted by the modernization investments shows significant deterioration, which is why it is used only occasionally. The deterioration of the quay creates risks and difficulties during berthing maneuvers and during the loading and unloading of goods.

The objective of the project is the modernization and development of the port infrastructure serving cargo ship traffic, according to the forecasted volume and characteristics of demand, with the purpose of increasing the efficiency and safety of port operations.

The implementation of the project will lead to an average increase of approximately 70,000 tons/year in the quantities of goods operated annually in Romanian ports.

To achieve this objective, the investments target:

Vertical quay of estacade type with a length of 150 ml

Road from the access gate to the quay and port platform, with a total area of 28,915 sqm

Electrical installations for public lighting and ship supply

Networks for supplying ships with water

Stormwater drainage system.
